Our 2nd Annual Freestyle Ski and Snowboard Competition Results

Loch Lomond Ski Area held it's 2nd annual Freestyle Ski and Snowboard competition ' Loch, Stock & Two Smokin' Bar-Rails' on Saturday March 22, 2014.

Under 18: 1st Place Snowboarder

The competition included 2 heats of under 18 skiers, under 18 snowboarders, 18+ Skiers and 18+ Snowboarders with over 60 athletes competing on the day.

The top 5 from each category made the finals, see results below:

Under 18 Freestyle Snowboard

  • 1st Place - Patrice Poulin 
  • 2nd Place - Brendan Phyllis
  • 3rd Place - Troy Robinson

Under 18 Freestyle Ski:

  • 1st Place - Paul Bystrician
  • 2nd Place - Noah Knight
  • 3rd Place - Ty McEwan

18+ Freestyle Snowboard:

  • 1st Place - Warren Burke
  • 2nd Place - Kelly Renaud
  • 3rd Place - Travis Harju

18+ freestyle Ski

  • 1st Place - Chris Mitchell
  • 2nd Place - Josh Knight

Female Freestyle Snowboard:

  • 1st Place - Vicki Vezina
  • 2nd Place - Lesley Moulson
  • 3rd Place - Bobbi-lyn Helie

The competition was sponsored by the Ski Exchange Thunder Bay, The Neebing Roadhouse and Loch Lomond Ski Area.

Loch, Stock and Two Smokin' barRaiLs 2014

  • Registration/competition check in open until 10am 
  • 10 am - 12pm Course Practice
  • 12:10 pm - 12.30 pm Debrief/jersey hand out
  • 1:00 pm Under 18 Snowboard 1st heat 
  • 1:30 pm Under 18 Ski 1st heat 
  • 2:00 pm Over 18 Snowboard 1st heat 
  • 2:30 pm Over 18 Ski 1st heat 
  • 3:00 pm Under 18 Snowboard 2nd heat 
  • 3:30 pm Under 18 Ski 2nd heat 
  • 4:00pm - Over 18 Snowboard 2nd heat 
  • 4:30 pm Over 18 Ski 2nd heat 
  • 4:45 pm Finals competitors announcement 
  • 5:00 pm Top 5 from each heat FINALS 
  • 6:00 pm- Presentation/awards ceremony


  • 1st, 2nd & 3rd from each heat will receive prizes to be announced soon! 

 Prizes will also be awarded for: 

  • Best Rail 
  • Best Jump 
  • Best Trick 
  • Biggest Crash 
  • Best Line 
  • Most Creative 
  • Best Dressed 
  • Final scores will be your best heat score ( either your best score from heat 1 or 2) combined with your 'finals' score if you are a top 5 finalist in your category of which you only get ONE run!
